Can never do just 1 project at a time...
Is it just me or do you need to do more than one project at once, I find I get bored very easily especially if you are doing the same thing all the time. I have now got about 8 projects half finished or just started.
I have several patchwork cushions about halfway to completion, a couple of fabric storage boxes almost completed, and about 6 sock monkeys which are sewn and require stuffing an stitching together.
As well as the two projects I am working on now, the hexagon patchwork, which I am now making into a appliqué quilt, rough sketch below, and my newest project the knitted patchwork blanket which I am loving doing the wool is just so soft, cannot wait for it to be finished.
All this is being done in-between the housework, working part time at weekends, looking after my three beautiful girls too. I honestly don't know how I have time.
Oh wait; I don't as there is always a long list of things that need doing, I still haven't dug over the veg patch in the garden which I desperately need to do as the seed potatoes need to be put in asap. I have several other veg plants which have now grown nicely from seed and need more space and need to get a bit of potting on, I have loads to do ....
But on hold now really until Monday, going to do a bit more knitting then try to get a bit of sleep as I am in work at 11pm first full night shift in a while so I am sure I will be very tired. Then another full night tomorrow and a little short shift in Sunday night, then off Monday for the week again. I only work 3 night a week but its at the weekend which is a shame as I lose out on spending time with my family. But until I win the lottery its needs must I am afraid, and at least I have a job. So for that I am very grateful.
Well must sign off and get back to my knitting, back soon with more updates but this will likely be on Monday now.
Oh almost forgot - bringing home our new little kitten "Willow" this weekend too, so excited.
Bye for now

Tails & wool
Our brave little Tigger had to go to the vets today following a nasty cat fight. The vet shaved his little tail and found two teeth holes in the top of his tail and it was a little nasty so after some pain relief was all cleaned up and sent home with some antibiotics. Bless. Lots of cuddles from everyone. He's going to be fine. Just looks a little strange with his shaven tail.
On a lighter note I found some lovely wool in my local shop. Started knitting little squares. Going to make a lovely patchwork blanket.
A bit of knitting in-between my hand sewing patchwork. Which will be finished first, my fabric or my knitted patchwork. Will have to see but I'm banking on the knitting as I can knit without looking and am much quicker.
More pictures tomorrow on my progress.
Thanks for dropping by.

And it’s growing nicely, my stiches are getting nice and small just like they used to be, I have been concentrating too much on machine sewing, glad to be back doing hand sewing again.
It will still take a while to complete this project but I know it will be worth it. I am hoping to get the finished quilt professionally quilted at the end to ensure it looks it’s best.
So if anyone knows someone who does long arm quilting, living in the Leigh, Greater Manchester area, who could either show me how, or knows who can do it for me when it’s all finished.
I would love to learn how to do this myself and even better have a long arm quilting machine at home as I think there is nothing more beautiful than a proper finished quilt.
I would love to make beautiful family heirlooms.

Patchwork has begun...
Needed some Inspiration (and a break)
Well I have been quiet the last week or so, was worn out following the build up and the actual Craft Fair, boy that was stressful and tiring. Next one in August, cannot wait... but I am having a bit of a break from serious making. Going to do something I really love to chill out and relax a bit .....
I am starting some patchwork - hexagon's I think, I have loads of scraps to use up and thought this morning not done any proper hand patch working with needle and thread.
So I'm off to my little room full of boxes to dig out some pretty fabrics and will start cutting out hexagons ... but I am in work tonight - only a short shift as I have booked some leave so 2300-0330 4 and a half hours then back home for a sleep and more sewing ... don't know what the finished item will end up being, possibly a cushion or a small quilt or if I can stick it out maybe a large quilt - I think this will be an ongoing long distance thing I need something to do when I have a few spare minutes or can do in my break at work.
Will update you when I have done some cutting out ....
What are you up to today why not let me know - leave your comments belowThanks for popping by
