UpCycling From Dress to Cushion 1 Hour

Well I have had a ripped dress sitting in my wardrobe for over a year as I could not bare to throw it away, it is the most lovely summery fabric with a silver thread running through it.

Solution turn it into a lovely cushion for my sofa ... it looks fabulous, simply cut the dress into strips as it had two different fabrics, sewn together into a rectangle and backing added - stuffed to create a squidgy comfy cushion.

What do you think!

Lovely Applique Hearts

I have had a lovely morning cutting, ironing and making these cute little hearts large & small and just in time for forthcoming Valentines Day - make something special, personal and just for your the love of your life.

They say handmade is special as it means you have made that extra special effort for them, well these lovely little hearts can be used to pep up a tired looking t-shirt, to make a cute little cushion cover or add to your favorite bag.

These cute little hearts are now available in my Etsy shop, if you need something special I am always happy to custom make something for you just get in touch.

Request a custom order and have something made just for you.
Hand drawn and hand cut applique hearts, all ready to add to and enhance lots of items.

Simply peel off the backing paper and iron onto your t-shirt, cushion, anything you fancy.

I use Heat n' Bond Light on my appliques. It is one of the strongest fabric adhesives and is machine washable if attached correctly.

I will also send you instructions to help you further in attaching your heart, to give your heart that hand finished result simply hand stitch or machine stitch to secure it in place.

Getting Organised

Well I was planning to start some projects today, but as usual, best laid plans and all I have not quite got started.  So tired this morning as still recovering from a pain in the next chest infection and did not sleep well last night.  And gone into start and realised I need to do some serious sorting out and get my craft room organised.

Love this nice clean and plain and ideal for all my lovely fabric bundles, projects, magazines and supplies and only £67 how economical is that ... IKEA you just cannot beat it.  Will be picking up a couple of these soon to make my room so much tidier.

What do you think of my NEW LAYOUT ...

Cannot sleep at the moment with my chest infection, every time I lie down I start coughing so I thought I would take a look at my Blog and sort it out once and for all  ...

Well I I think I am now much happier with the look of my Blog ... What about you.

Please have a good look around and let me know what you think.  Why not submit your details for my UK Crafty Directory too whilst you are here - FREE Advertising on my blog which will remain on here until the blog is full to busting ... and that's a long way away

If you know of any Crafty Events going on around the UK let me know about it and I will be happy to make a mention in my Blog and on my Newsletter which I am hoping will make its debut in February and will be a regular monthly round up of all things Crafty from around the UK.

Well medicine is starting to kick in for my cough so I am back off to bed to try for some more sleep.  I do hope you will have a look around and make a comment.
